People buy from, and invest in who they Know, Like and Trust. We used to influence our peers as we gathered at the barber shop, or hair saloon, on Sunday mornings at church, or Friday night book club with your best Mama friends, you know the one that’s more about the wine and the laughter than the books?
In this wild new world those places of influence are almost obsolete. Instead we learn about our instagram best friend’s new car with 20k of her other friends. We make choices about home renovations off of Pinterest. We learn how to take up new hobbies over youtube or instagram.
Social Media is the barber shop. It is the book club. It is where influence has gone to rule supreme.
