IMPROMPTU QUAIL FUNERAL

Sometimes your 5 year old might misplace his quail. He may then forget he misplaced her. And then you might find said quail dead. With two holes in their tiny little lifeless body. You may then rsuspect that your playful dog likely thought they could enjoy a gentle little game with the teeny, tiny, little bird but then the bird just stopped playing 🤷🏻♂️.
“RUH ROH!!” Said Wallace. As they backed away slowly, leaving me to find Poly, a few hours later.
Or so I suspect. Wilde keeps reminding me, “No one really knows what happened. It could have been the neighbour’s cat. He did say his cat really thinks Quail are tasty!” Eyes wide as saucers, hands in the air.
When poor little Mayhem realized what had happened his heart broke in to shards of glass, and out came all of the tears in the land. All of them.
